Restylane®
Restylane® is dermal filler made up of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in your body. Its purpose is to fill in wrinkles and restore volume to the lips. Common areas that are treated include the lines around the mouth, the nasolabial folds, and the melolabial folds. Other areas that are now being treated with Restylane providing fantastic results, are the under-eye area and the lines between the eyebrows. Restylane is administered in the office and has essentially no downtime.
BOTOX® Cosmetic
Botox® is a purified protein that can diminish “dynamic” wrinkles of the face. Commonly treated areas are the periocular “crow’s feet”, the area between the brows, and the horizontal wrinkles of the forehead. Our office also uses Botox to provide a “brow lift” which refreshes the brow and eyelid area. Botox is administered in the office and has no downtime.
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is a procedure used to surgically enhance the appearance of the upper and/or lower eyelids. It is especially beneficial for patients with puffy and/or droopy eyelids.
Upper Lids
The procedure is performed in an outpatient facility under “twilight” anesthesia. The surgical incision is hidden in the eyelid crease. Extra skin and fat are removed to restore a more youthful and more rested appearance to the upper eyelids. If your eyelids are droopy and decreasing your vision, your insurance may pay for this procedure.
Lower Lids
The lower eyelids are also performed in an outpatient facility under “twilight” anesthesia. The incision is made either under the eyelashes or on the backside of the eyelid and heals very well with no visible scar. Extra skin and/or fat are removed. The fat is repositioned into sunken areas to make the contour of the eyelid more aesthetically pleasing.
Facial Cosmetic Surgery
The traditional full facelift is now considered outdated. It has been replaced with surgical procedures that target the specific area of the face that needs refreshing. These new procedures also have smaller incisions and less downtime. These procedures are performed under “twilight” anesthesia in an outpatient facility.
Browlift
The Browlift lifts the upper 1/3 of the face and diminishes the forehead lines and the lines between the eyebrows. Dr. Edmonson uses an endoscope to perform the surgery. The surgical incisions are small and are hidden in the hairline.
Midface Lift
The Midface Lift repositions the cheek back to its normal anatomical position and lessens the nasolabial folds. It can also slightly smooth out the jawline in some patients. The midface lift lifts the middle two thirds of the face. It is also performed with the endoscope via small incisions hidden in the hairline. The midface lift and brow lift use the same incisions and are often performed together for a fully rejuvenated appearance.
Facial Liposculpture
This procedure involves removing fat from your abdomen and inserting it in areas of your face that need volume or lifting. Common treatment areas include the cheeks, under the eyes, and areas around the lips and the lips themselves. The results are permanent and the incisions used to place the fat are tiny. This procedure is performed in an outpatient facility under “twilight” anesthesia and can be combined with any of the above procedures.
Skin Care
Our office believes strongly in skin care and rejuvenation. Our skin care products have been hand selected and tested by Dr. Edmonson herself. We feel we have the best skin care products for our patients and our products are so potent that they are exclusive to physicians’ offices only. We also provide chemical peels to help acne, scars, fine lines, uneven skin tones and texture. Intense Pulsed Light technology is used to help treat brown spots, red spots including acne, rosacea, and hair removal. Dr. Edmonson and her well trained staff will help you with all of your skin care needs.
